We're very thankful to Souders' PTO for inviting COSI on Wheels in to help us learn about our Human Bodies.  We had a great time rotating through stations!

HS Students Teach a Lesson About Christmas in Germany

Thanks to our fantastic Big Walnut HS German students, we now know that the tradition of decorating Christmas came from Germany and that St. Nick puts candy in the boots/shoes of children who have been good.  We also sang the German Christmas Carol, O Tannenbaum.

We were correct in the order of making pb&j sandwiches and remembered all ingredients while pre-writing.  The class loved eating their sandwiches!  Thanks so much for sending in ingredients.

Decorating Our Class Pumpkin

Thanks to a local Sunbury business for donating a pumpkin for each class to decorate.  Our class voted on decorating our pumpkin like a Mummy.  The pumpkins were judged (we didn't win) and will be on display at a local Nursing home in Sunbury for residents to view.

All About Apples

We learned about Johnny Appleseed, tasted different colored apples; graphed out favorite, created apples tress with sticks, participated in a science experiment on Sink or Float and counted apple seeds.
