Riding the Wave of Eagle Pride

Homecoming was celebrated this past week (September 13-17). We had a blast decorating the float and walking through the town square with the parade. We had the largest turnout ever! The senior cheerleaders, HS band and some of the varisty football team; led by coach Weaver came for a pep rally to get us pUmPeD for the game. The Eagles were victorious!!

1st Week of 3rd Grade

Last week we learned a new spelling game, Heads Up, Spell Up...ask us how we played. We also played a game called Whip Around, to review telling time.

The 3rd Graders began our unit on the Solar System. We have something called "action vocabulary". Ask us to show you the "moves" for solar system, planet, asteroid, rotation, and axis. We also began our time on the computers...remember Studyisland.com and also click on the links to the right.

1st Week of School

We nibbled 3 and 4 digit numbers with our pretzels. We played many getting to know you activities. One we really enjoyed was "Talk Show". One person was the interviewer another was the guest. We took turns passing the "microphones" and answering questions about things we like. Then we took time out for our 1st class photo!

Thanks to our amazing PTO we were able to meet one another and make new friends even before school started!
