All Aboard!

It’s time to “Ride the Reading Train!” for the first-ever GRE Read-a-thon, January 17-27. Over nine days we are challenging all students K-5 to read 30 minutes per day. This includes their regular assigned reading time, and can be done during indoor recess or at home. Each student who reaches the goal of reading 270 minutes will get to watch a movie at school! When we reach the school goal of reading 75,000 minutes the whole school gets a 10 minute dance party in the halls!

A packet with all the details and reading slips will come home in the General Express this week. Students are to read, get a slip signed by a parent, and turn the slips back in at school. PTO volunteers will collect the slips and post them along the track in the halls so students can see their progress.
