1st Day of School

We had such a great 1st day!   I'm so excited to get to know each student & watch them grow this school year.

I'm so excited for the 2013-2014 school year!  It's going to be a great year of fun-filled, relevant learning.  The intention of this blog is to share what we are learning through descriptions, pictures, student work and more.  You will also find information on homework assignments, vocabulary, spelling, and weekly objectives.

Field Trip

As an extension to our habitat unit, we visited the Franklin Park Conservatory.  Ask your child to tell you about what three habitats we visited.

Thank you to parents for sending $5 for your child to attend and to parents who were able to chaperone.  We had a wonderful time!

Teacher Appreciation Week

Thank you to everyone for making this such a great week.  We were spoiled with signs on our doors, flowers, breakfast, ice cream bars, treats, lunch and other great things.

Cookie Excavation

We pretended that like Mary and Troy from the story, The Dog That Dug for Dinosaurs we love to dig for fossils.  Using cookies, we dug out chocolate chips.

Support the Humane Society of Delaware County

Help the cats and dogs at the Humane Society of Delaware County by gathering pledges in honor of "Mutt March" held on Saturday, May 11 from 9am-12pm.
Walk with your friends or strut your mutt on a 2-mile trek down a safe gravel road starting at HSDC's shelter located at 4920 St. Rt. 37 East in Delaware.
